Raw materials and environment<\/h1>\n

The raw materials used<\/strong> in Isotta fragrances are all of natural origin<\/strong>, preferably certified organic<\/strong><\/a> or harvested in the wild<\/strong>. Essentially essential oils<\/strong> obtained by hydro-distillation, also CO2 extracts<\/strong> (a process of extraction using high pressure), more rarely isolates<\/strong> (fractions of a distillation) and very few molecules obtained by biotechnologies<\/strong> (fermentation is an example).<\/p>\n

None of our absolutes are obtained by extraction with petrochemical solvents, that are always left in traces. Resino\u00efds are alcohol extracted. Alcohol comes from organic wheat and is produced in France<\/strong>, it is not denaturated, or rather it is but solely because it is mixed with the perfume concentrates.<\/p>\n

It is possible to find a large documentation on Internet about perfumery raw materials (when we have time we will add articles on the subject).<\/p>\n

Those raw materials are cultivated and harvested worldwide by small artisan producers<\/strong>, selected over the years. We also buy from Grass housses whose sourcers do a remarkable job.<\/p>\n

We have created a map below that shows the origin of each raw material we use.<\/p>\n

It is unfortunately impossible to make perfumes using solely local products, sandalwood doesn\u2019t grow under our tropics, no more than vanilla or vetiver\u2026 It may be conceivable to formulate one, a cologne for instance, here is a project !<\/p>\n

We use screw-on sprays on our glass bottles<\/strong>, it allows the later to be recycled<\/strong>, or re-used. The packaging and silk papers come from sustainably managed forests<\/strong>. A minimum of plastic is used (spray). The blotters are in paper. The containers in the lab are glass. The raw materials are kept in glass as well as the concentrates.<\/p>\n

The perfumer does for you what she does for herself: she pays attention to all these little details at every level of her work.<\/p>\n
